Malcolm Burn
Born in Cornwall, Ontario, Burn became lead singer/keyboardist for the 1980s Canadian band Boys Brigade. Following the dissolution of that group, he turned towards music production and solo work. After many years behind the mixing desk working with Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Daniel Lanois, Tragically Hip and many others, Canadian Grammy Award winning record producer Malcolm Burn has come out from the shadows to reveal his own innermost feelings and thoughts expressed in a musical landscape uniquely his own.
Combining distinct melodic charm with playful yet meaningful lyrics, Malcolm’s songs are the culmination of almost two decades worth of songwriting featuring not only his lyrical abilities but also his sonic landscapes. The themes are about love, loss and the fragility of the human psyche. The focus track of his upcoming record on January 14th 2022, “The Silence In Your Head” displays a deep understanding of the fleeting aspects of time and human existence.
